Web Design, SEO & Digital Marketing in Mulgrave-et-Derry

More than 130 lakes, about 500 year-round residents, and twice that on weekends. A lot of your customers live somewhere else.

Mulgrave-et-Derry is really two territories. Mulgrave to the east, reached by Route 315, and Derry to the west, off Route 309. Together they make 317 km² of hills, forest and lakes, the second-largest territory in the MRC. It was founded in 1870, mostly by German and Irish immigrants, and plenty of families still descend from them. The motto, “Ad harmoniam cum natura,” means “in harmony with nature.” Odd detail: the municipal office is in Gatineau, on Avenue de Buckingham.

Business follows the seasons. In summer the cottagers come back and the population doubles. Fall is hunting and ATVs. Winter is snowmobiles, with trails looping around Lac La Blanche. The rest of the year it’s mostly contractors, farms and self-employed people serving residents and cottage owners.

Getting found in Mulgrave-et-Derry

The typical customer here isn’t standing at your door. It’s a cottage owner in Gatineau, Ottawa or farther, looking for someone to open the place in spring, rebuild a dock, plow the driveway or fix the roof. They search Google with the lake name or the municipality. Local contractors are often good and busy, and often hard to find online: no site, a Google listing with no photos, nothing in English. A simple site listing your services, the lakes and areas you cover, and photos of your work is often enough to get that call.

A wooded rural municipality in western Petite-Nation, Mulgrave-et-Derry has many lakes and cottages. Contractors and suppliers working here are often searched for by property owners who live elsewhere: this is precisely the role of a well-ranked website.

Mulgrave-et-Derry has a population of 519 (2026), according to the Quebec government's population order.

Petite Nation Numérique is not affiliated with the municipality or the MRC; this information comes from public sources.

Frequently asked questions

My work all comes from word of mouth. Why go online?

Word of mouth works, but even people who got your name from a neighbour look you up on Google before calling. If they find nothing, or a competitor who looks more put-together, you lose the job.

I cover Mulgrave, Derry and the towns around. How do I show that?

One page per area or major lake, plus a clearly set service area on Google. Cottage owners often search using their lake’s name.
