Web Design, SEO & Digital Marketing in Saint-Sixte

Saint-Sixte is a valley. The Saint-Sixte River at the bottom, rocky hills around it and the Montagnes Noires to the north.

Route 317 runs through Saint-Sixte on its way from Thurso to Ripon. The mission dates back to 1855 and the parish to 1885. The municipality split from Lochaber township in 1893 as Lochaber-Partie-Nord and only became Saint-Sixte officially in 1979. The chapel burned in July 2015, and a new one has been built since.

This is farm and forest country, and the town says so itself. There's no main street: farms are spread along the back roads, and for groceries people head to Saint-André-Avellin. What brings outsiders in is dog sledding in winter, the SAJO camp in summer and the Louis-Joseph-Papineau trail year-round.

Getting found in Saint-Sixte

In Saint-Sixte, almost everyone searching for a local business lives somewhere else. The Ottawa family who wants to try dog sledding in February, the Gatineau parents looking at SAJO cabins for summer, the cyclist wondering where to stop on the trail. They search on Google, in English as often as French. Local farms are often invisible online: no Google profile, no page, just a name in a register. For a producer who sells at the farm gate, a complete Google profile and a simple page saying what, when and how to buy is already a big step. We're in Montpellier, same MRC, and we'll come to you.

A small farming and forestry municipality next to Saint-André-Avellin, Saint-Sixte has producers and family businesses that would benefit from selling or getting known online, beyond word of mouth.

Saint-Sixte has a population of 556 (2026), according to the Quebec government's population order.

Petite Nation Numérique is not affiliated with the municipality or the MRC; this information comes from public sources.

It's common here because of the shared postal code. We make sure your site and Google profile clearly say Saint-Sixte, so Google puts you in the right place.

I only sell a few things at the farm. Is Google worth it?

Yes. A free Google profile with your road, your products and your hours is often what gets someone from Saint-André or Thurso to make the detour.
