In the comments on his post about The Blog Upgrade question strikes again, Scott Laird says he's sticking with MT:

So, for now I'm still suffering with MT, with all of its problems, written in Perl (which I don't really care for, either), with a license that's way less free then Drupal.

Scott actually praises Drupal for some of it's PHP code (even though he doesn't really like PHP). Among other things, he specifically mentions PostgreSQL support, specifically with the trackback and subscriptions modules. Adrian just happens to be one of the main PostgreSQL maintainers, and he's added a ton of fixes over the last couple of days.

Also, those wacky CivicSpace guys were talking about combining some sort of VoIP tie-in with Drupal, so maybe that will pull Scott back in.

Lastly, I'm going to admit it -- I hate trackback. I wrote about it on my personal site, mainly pointing to John Gruber's two articles on trackback. We're working on a generic "What's Related" module that will handle everything from basic referrer information to related Google information In my opinion, this is a better, more web-friendly usage than trackback, which locks out all the tools that don't/can't use trackback at all.
