No really, PR is dead! I have got a lack of flack for saying this, but I stand by it.

Remember how 20 years ago almost everybody had a secretary who typed up all their correspondence and communication? How many people except lawyers and big executives have that now? And even lawyers and big executives read and respond to their own email.

Why should PR be any different? Why should we trust our conversations about what we hold most dear and are passionate about and make our livelihood to others?

PR is dead doesn't mean that there won't be room for PR firms; it's just that they will move up the food chain. Instead of writing bogus press releases in a boring 3rd person voice, PR firms will advise people on how to communicate conversationally.
