This past week saw the first meetup for the Vancouver Ruby Brigade. Organizers Jeremy Hubert and Zed Shaw were expecting anywhere between 8-10 Ruby gurus to roll out of the woodwork, after all, 'twas the mere first meetup in this new endeavor.

Alas, there was a whole slew of Rubyaholics: SEVENTEEN of them turned up! They all packed into one of the posh conference rooms at WorkSpace (thanks Bill!), talked lots of Ruby, geeked out and did the hackfest thing.

Next meeting is set for the second Tuesday in October, the 10th. Each meeting will fall on the second Tuesday of each month, but check the site for any further news.

And there is a new forum that is now up and live, so feel free to chime in on anything Ruby or Rails.
