Stream of consciousness (if I omitted you or erred, my apologies, my brain is crammed full of stuff from last week but it's rapidly leaking out!):

  • Add your own thoughts to this wiki page: http://dev.bryght.com/t/wiki/DriesCsDinner29Oct2004Thoughts
  • I wish I had had time to talk to everybody
  • Benzo you owe me a free lunch for not showing up to dinner :-)
  • We pretty much had critical mass for a mini Drupal Con. All we needed was more time and a space with a white board.
  • I think we should have a Drupal Con in Belgium in 2005 and a second Drupal Con in Vancouver in late 2005 or 2006. Of course, whether I have time to help organize something like this is another question. Wait and see how I feel after NorthernVoice in February 2005. I bet the answer will be yes.
  • Factory Joe aka Chris Messina is like me obsessed with making things easier for users
  • I think the Drupal and CivicSpace dinner at Pondok Indonesia was a success. The people there are great and so is the food. And the conversation (what I could make out when I wasn't angsting about the pre-ordering and other stuff) was lively and fun.
  • I believe the Drupal pants module was an extensive topic of conversation at dinner :-)
  • Zack Rosen is everything I expected and more and so is Neil Drumm!
  • Didn't have much time to talk to the CivicSpace business development guy, Andrew but I was impressed with the little time we did have for discussion.
  • Drupal-World-Domination.com need I say more :-) ?
  • It's a small world. Iain McBride, ace Lindy Hopper and web everything, knows Walkah!
  • Susie and Travis from HopStudios and refugees from LA were great souls. Great conversation with our favourite 20 year old hacker, Andy Smith.
  • Andy Smith of sxip is a coding wunderkind and I love hearing his stories about life, code, the university and everything. Better living (vicariously) through Andy Smith
  • Need to find a quieter, English style pub for future after dinner Drupal conversations. Toby's is too loud and not big enough and I want better beer but I am a beer snob and prefer British, German, Belgian and BC microbrews to "normal" beer.
  • Krishna is working on BlueHereNow, cool!
  • Nedjo is a father of two who still finds time to hack, wow!
  • Eric Scouten's greenthing Drupal theme is cool
  • Dries is much more mature than I was at his age. He is incredibly organized and focused as well as a nice guy. It's no wonder Drupal is growing and it's no wonder, more importantly, that the Drupal community is thriving and growing.
  • We really missed Adrian
  • I would have loved to play Xbox too!
  • Didn't get a chance to talk to Djun but now somebody tells me he speaks German! Aaaargh! Ich moechte mein Deutsch mit ihm ueben. Eines Tages!
  • Photos, photos, photos: my blurry cameraphone pics, Walkah's, Zack's, Boris's
