To follow Roland's lead, I'll try to jot down a couple thoughts following my week in Vancouver, meeting Dries and the CivicSpace gang, etc. Since pictures are worth a thousand words, you might be more interested in looking at my pictures from the week. Otherwise, I think:

  • There are some really great people involved in the Drupal project, a fact that I believe will be key to the long term success.
  • We missed Adrian :(
  • It rains a lot in Vancouver.
  • Roland is, without a doubt, the man when it comes to food in Vancouver.
  • It's amazing how many people have a deep enough interest to log some serious miles in the name of Drupal - not just Dries from Belgium or the CivicSpace guys from California, but Eric Scouten came from Seattle, and David Mason flew in from Toronto.
  • Bryght and CivicSpace have a real chance to help solidify and support the Drupal community at large. Getting paid to focus on this stuff will help us all win in the end.
  • It's awesome to know that Chris Messina will be focused full time on drupal themes. The world needs more sites like Spread Firefox.
  • Putting Boris and me together in the same physical space can have interesting side effects.
  • If you don't have a powerbook, you just wouldn't fit in (sorry, Dries).
  • Dries is really tall
  • Zacker is just as intense in real life. If only we all had energy like that...
  • The future is Bryght :)
