The Second guest speaker of the day was Hal Josephson. Hal who has years of expertise in business development and planning shared with us a wealth of information on the subject.
To me, this was the perfect start of what will be for us at RCS a week long review of our first "real" year of operation and allow us to refine our internal process and review our business plan.
The presentation was split in 4 main sections
- Create Your Best Case Biz/Dev & Marketing Scenario
- Identify and Use Resources That Make “THE” Difference
- Source and Engage the Right Alliances and Partnerships
- Maximize your Biz/Dev Effort and Leverage your Budget

What did I learn from this?
Build a better business model... Think in different boxes, not outside the box!
BizDev is about strategy, relationships, reciprocity, and networking.
Marketing is about positioning, differentiation, advertising, and promotions.
