We kicked off day two of Creative Canux @ Banff New Media Institute’s Accelerator Program with a presentation and workshop by Steve Portigal.

Steve a Canux now living in California has been a customer research consultant for over 10 years.

In this 3 hour session Steve took on a practical and inspiring approach to the fundamentals of learning about customers, and understanding their culture better

Following a series of PowerPoint Slides, we broke up into groups of 3 and had opportunities to put into practice our newly acquired research skills..

I worked with Amy Inkster from the BNMI Accelerator Program and Peter Hansen of The Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.

We interviewed each other on various topics while the other was acting as an observer.

Overall it was a great workshop, providing us with some ideas on how to conduct market/project research and interview clients.

I would recommend checking Steve Portigal for further information on his research services.
